Homeless Aid UK have donated 138 Easter eggs for patients to enjoy at Royal Bolton Hospital.
The Easter eggs were donated on Wednesday 6 April and should provide a much needed boost to patients who are receiving care and are spending time away from their loved ones during Easter.
Mr. Billa Ahmed, member of the Homeless Aid UK team, said:
We have been doing this for years but with COVID19 we couldn’t do more.
“We wanted to give back to our local community, not only do we look after the homeless but we also do other social projects to help those in need.
The Easter eggs were bought by the Homeless Aid UK and also donated by the public.
A supply of smaller Easter eggs were given to Bolton NHS Foundation Trust staff for their hard work.
Billa said:
The staff are so loving and caring.
“They sacrifice so much, especially during the peak of the pandemic.
“Everything they do is just absolutely amazing.
Abdul Goni, Charity Engagement Coordinator, commented:
Thank you to Homeless Aid UK for putting smiles on many faces.
“It’s a wonderful gesture of care and compassion and a demonstration of how the community is supporting our staff and patients.
