Commenting on his shortlisted nomination, Andrew said:
It’s an honour to be nominated by my colleagues, and I am so proud of what we have been able to achieve following the COVID-19 pandemic to do what’s best for our patients.
“We have only been able to achieve because of the incredible team we have at Bolton who do a fantastic job in what have been challenging circumstances.
“It’s all about creating an environment for people to grow, develop, and create change with the support of colleagues. Bolton often punches above its weight, so it’s important we find these moments to celebrate our reputation and influence.
Annette Walker, Chief Finance Officer at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said:
We are incredibly grateful for Andrew’s never wavering support and his invaluable professional leadership.
“The finance team’s mission statement is ‘to be the best NHS finance team, supporting the Trust in achieving its vision and ambition’, and Andrew hold us true to this which allows us to achieve great things, whilst having fun and looking out for each other.
“There is never a challenge too daunting for Andrew and he instils belief in everyone he works with.
The winners will be revealed at the HMFA annual conference in London on Thursday 8 December 2022.
