• Fresh new look for Bolton’s sexual health service in 2024
• Shine supports thousands of people every year with free and confidential sexual health advice
• Service offers range of support such as testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

Bolton’s dedicated sexual health service has been given a fresh new look for 2024 to create a more accessible and recognisable brand for patients and communities across the town.

The new logo features bold and vibrant colours with the name ‘Shine’ front and centre.

Shine provides a free and confidential sexual health service for Bolton, offering advice and support on a range of sexual health issues.

These include:

• Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
• Contraception, including emergency contraception
• PrEP: a medication to help prevent HIV before you’ve been exposed to it
• Free condoms

In 2023, Shine supported thousands of patients and the service continues to reach more and more people in Bolton every year.

Michelle Cox, Divisional Director of Operations for Family Care at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said:

We’re thrilled to have a brand new logo for Shine in 2024 as we look for even more ways to improve our sexual health offering for Bolton.

“In 2024 we’ll be focusing on making it as easy as possible to access our services in the community, increasing our self-testing availability and offering online booking and advice.

“It’s really important that we connect with different communities across Bolton by making it as easy as possible for people to recognise Shine as a service and for it to be accessible to everyone.

“We are always here to help and have a team of highly-skilled staff who are available to provide high-quality advice and support.

Shine relocated to Crompton Health Centre in 2023 and can be contacted on 01204 390771.

Bolton Council has awarded Bolton NHS Foundation Trust the service contract for sexual health provision in the town for an initial five-year period, with an official launch event set to take place in the coming weeks.
