Communities in Bolton are being invited to take charge of their wellness as healthcare professionals from across the town come together for a day of action.
The Bolton Health Mela 2024 will offer a wide range of health-related services and activities, making it a valuable resource for people who are looking to improve and prioritise their health and wellbeing.
Organised by the University of Bolton Greater Manchester in collaboration with Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, the free event on Saturday 5 October will provide people with access to important health screenings and information that may otherwise be costly or inaccessible.
Dr. Harni Bharaj, Deputy Medical Director and Consultant Physician at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, said:
We’re really looking forward to welcoming people to the University of Bolton Greater Manchester and opening up the conversation about wellness.
“It’s so important that people feel empowered to take control of their health and confident enough to reach out for support if they’re struggling.
“We’ll have a wide-range of health professionals available to speak to on the day who are experts in their field, and can provide the information people need to make positive changes in their life.

The free event will be held at the University of Bolton Greater Manchester’s Social Learning Zone, Chancellor’s Mall, University Way, Bolton, BL3 5AB. Free campus parking is also available.
