A message for Bolton from your NHS

Aerial view of Bolton

The past week is one we will never forget. It doesn’t reflect who we are as a town, and it doesn’t reflect our values.

We stand shoulder to shoulder with every single person in our organisation and across our brilliant communities.

Our organisation will always be proud of our diversity, welcoming people from all different walks of life with open arms – whether that be our staff, our patients, their families or members of the public.

We will not under any circumstances tolerate any form of racism, islamophobia, discrimination or unacceptable behaviour.

Our words and more importantly, our actions, make a huge difference.

We can all demonstrate in our actions that when we say we have zero tolerance of racism towards or from our patients or colleagues, we really mean it.

Please continue to check in with those around you, even if they seem to be doing ok.

To our Bolton communities, we want you to know just how important and valued you are.

Our individuality and diversity is to always be celebrated and we are proud that it makes our town such a special place to be.
