• Bolton NHS Foundation Trust shortlisted at Public Finance Awards 2024
• Finance team have been recognised in the ‘Finance Team of the Year – Frontline Services’ category
• Achievements over past twelve months include driving business cases for major developments

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has been named as a finalist at the Public Finance Awards 2024.

The Trust’s finance team are shortlisted in the ‘Finance Team of the Year – Frontline Services’ category for their work to deliver high quality services for the NHS in Bolton.

In the past twelve months, the team have achieved a number of successes, including:

• Top 15 national NHS Staff Survey score for NHS finance departments for the second consecutive year.
• Launched an ambitious project to create a shared ledger system for NHS providers in Greater Manchester.
• Delivered challenging revenue and capital positions for the 2023/24 financial year.
• Achieve Level 3 accreditation, the highest level of accreditation for NHS finance teams.

The Finance team have also driven the production of business cases for national capital funding for two major developments, which is helping to provide better care to more patients in Bolton and beyond.

These business cases have resulted in four brand-new state of the art theatres and a Community Diagnostic Centre, which both opened earlier this year to support thousands of people to access vital care and support every year.

The Public Finance Awards recognise the people, products and services that demonstrate excellence and originality within public finance.

The winners will be announced in London on Tuesday 26 November 2024.
