Dedication page created to leave messages for babies who died too soon

  • Our Bolton NHS Charity creates dedication page for people to leave messages for babies who died too soon
  • Online page went live to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week 2024 (9 – 15 October)
  • People can continue to leave pictures and messages beyond the Wave of Light and throughout October

A special dedication page has been created for families in Bolton to leave photos and special messages in memory of babies who died too soon.

The online page by Our Bolton NHS Charity went live during Baby Loss Awareness Week 2024, and will remain open beyond the Wave of Light service (15 October) until Friday 1 November.

Sarah Skinner, Charity Manager of Our Bolton NHS Charity, said:

We wanted to create a space for people to leave their heartfelt messages for a special baby, who will remain in their hearts, always.

“Everyone’s grief journey is different and it’s important for people to have a space to share their emotions and memories should they so wish. Baby Loss Awareness Week is an opportunity for us to open up those conversations and to remember and reflect together.

“Our online dedication page will be open for people to leave their pictures and words throughout October, and we’ll make the page read-only from Friday 1 November to allow those memories to become lasting tributes.

People are also invited to make an optional donation to the charity to help ensure those affected by baby loss do not feel alone and always have a special place to remember their baby.

Our Bolton NHS Charity’s dedication page can be found here.

Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place from Wednesday 9 October – Tuesday 15 October and is an opportunity to bring communities together to give anyone touched by pregnancy and baby loss a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and feel that they are not alone.
