People invited to share messages of thanks to Bolton’s nurses and midwives

  • People invited to share heartfelt thanks to a nurse or midwife who has made a difference
  • Messages will be shared to celebrate International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses Day
  • Online dedication page is now open

People across Bolton are being invited to share their messages of thanks to a nurse or midwife who has made a difference in their life.

A dedicated page has been set up by Our Bolton NHS Charity for people to leave heartfelt words, with the aim of boosting staff morale and reminding them why their work matters so much.

Messages will be shared with Bolton NHS Foundation Trust’s nursing and midwifery teams, as the organisation celebrates International Day of the Midwife on Wednesday 7 May and International Nurses’ Day on Monday 12 May.

People also have the option to make a contribution to Our Bolton NHS Charity, the official charity of the Trust, with donations helping to support NHS staff as they care for families in Bolton and beyond.

Sarah Skinner, Charity Manager at Our Bolton NHS Charity, said:

Every day our dedicated nurses and midwives go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of so many.

“As we celebrate International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses’ Day, we felt this was the perfect opportunity to invite people to share their heartfelt messages. Whether they provided first-class care or simply held your hand when you needed it most, your words will remind them just how much they are valued.

“As the official charity of the Trust, we’re proud to invest in schemes and projects that support staff wellbeing and development, which we know has a significant impact on the care and experience our patients receive.

“Through kind donations from the public we have already been able to fund wellbeing programmes, enhance staff rest areas and refurbish our faith facilities. We’re always incredibly grateful to our supporters.

Share your message of thanks to our nurses and midwives on our dedication page.
