Dr Lipscomb studied at the Medical College of St Bartholomew’s Hospital and London University obtaining a BSc (Hons) Clinical Pharmacology in 1985, a MBBS in 1988, a MRCP in 1991, a MD in 2000 from the University of London, a CCST in Cardiology and General Medicine in 1999 and a FRCP in 2004.
She has worked at St Bartholomew’s Hospital (PRHO), London, Guy’s Hospital Medical SHO Rotation, London, Manchester Royal Infirmary Professorial Medical Unit (Registrar) and North West Cardiology SpR Rotation. She came to work at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust in 2000.
Dr Lipscomb has special interests in cardiovascular Intervention in ischaemic heart disease, genetic cardiovascular disease-particularly Marfan Syndrome and heart failure. She completed her MD thesis on Marfan Syndrome.
Dr Lipscomb has published articles on Marfan Syndrome, ICD implantation under conscious sedation and slow pathway modification for AVNRT.
