Mr Panos Pikoulas studied medicine in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and the prestigious Military School of Combat Officers and graduated in 2005 as a Naval medical Officer with a Medical Degree (MD) with honours. He trained in general surgery in the Naval Hospital of Athens and in hospitals of South East and North West of England and obtained his Completion of Training certificate in 2016.
On completing his training in 2017 Mr Pikoulas was immediately appointed as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Royal Bolton Hospital and has been the Lead for Breast Governance and Audit since September 2019.
Mr Pikoulas is actively involved in the training of general surgical trainees and he is a recognised educational supervisor. His specialist interest is exclusively the management of benign and malignant breast disease and breast related problems.
He specialises in breast cancer care, breast conserving surgery including Oncoplastic techniques and Therapeutic Mammoplasties, Breast Reconstruction (Implant based and Autologous), Lipomodelling, symmetrising surgery and surgery for benign breast disease.
Mr Pikoulas has written peer reviewed publications and has presented his work nationally and internationally always being focused on delivering high quality services to his patients.
